Clouds are inherently changeable, temporary, and difficult to define. They appear, linger, dissolve, or unexpectedly return. Much like our inner state of mind, our thoughts.
The yard as a tangible place to observe, slow down, adapt, and repair.
Cloudyard consists of sculptures that suggest an attempt to grasp that which ultimately resists being fixed or defined.
SCULPTURES
The sculptures take the form of precious home jewellery, intimate objects that carry the spirit and aesthetic language of Cloudyard into the domestic space.
They become quiet companions within a space. Like clouds, they hold a sense of movement, fragility, and impermanence, giving form to something that
is otherwise elusive.
The act of
giving
A part of the Cloudyard project is dedicated to giving. As the sculptures find their way into private homes and collections, a number of works will also be given to people, organisations, or places where they may hold a particular meaning or value.
